During this time of crisis, I (like so many) want to extend my sincerest appreciation and gratitude to all of our frontline workers. Without each and every one of these essential people, across multiple industries, we would not be able to sustain our health or our way of life in this country.
As we come to the close of Nurse Appreciation Week, I want to convey a special ‘thank you’ to all of the nurses who have and continue to risk their lives and those of their families, in order to care for those in need and to keep the rest of us safe.
Working in healthcare myself, I know firsthand how crucial these nurses are to the health and well being of so many. In short, I would like to take this opportunity to share a letter of thanks I wrote to the wonderful nurses that I work with…
Good Morning and TGIF!
I hope this letter finds you & your loved ones in good health. As you all know, we are living and working in a very trying and challenging time. Personally, I wake up and go to sleep with fear on my mind, but also with a thankful heart that I, and those close to me, are alive and well. We don’t know what tomorrow brings, and we don’t know what our future looks like – still we press onward.
I wish I had the right words… to give solace to those who are suffering, to give comfort to those who have lost, and to express the appropriate gratitude to those who deserve it most – those of you on the frontline!
For those of you who met me during orientation, you know that I am not a nurse, although I hold a very special place in my heart for nurses (like my Mom). If you have not heard my story, please feel free to ask me one day, as I am always glad to share.
Until such time when we meet again, whether in the office or in the field, I just want to say – thank you! Although I feel that words seem to fall short, I need to say them anyway…
Thank you for being so giving of yourself… Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our clients… Thank you for your dedication to your profession… Thank you for being such a compassionate caregiver… Thank you for supporting your fellow teammates… Thank you for being there for those in need and those who have no one else… Thank you for choosing to work with “Company X”… And thank you for working with and supporting our team!
Happy Nurses Week!
I hope to see you all again soon. Until then, please stay safe! Thank you for all you do and have a good weekend.
Sincerely,
“Chintz”
