Have you ever noticed that speaking to someone about your struggles makes you feel better? Or, that discussing a challenge with a friend helps bring you to a resolution? Or, that talking through the steps of a process, helps you easily identify the holes or gaps that need fixing? There is a reason why talking out loud and engaging with someone else increases your effectiveness in getting to probable answers, as well as sparking ideas for positive change. Talking with someone feels like βproblem-solvingβ itself, and helps to relieve tension and stress, by allowing you to express your feelings and get your emotions out.
There have been so many times in my life when I used the wisdom and guidance of others to unlock my inner strength and capabilities. There have also been numerous occasions on which I sought the counsel of someone to help me make a decision. Even still, there have been more moments when I just needed to spend some time talking through an experience, in order to feel better about it and myself. And in all of these situations, I gained clarity in my decisions and confidence in my thought patterns.
Now, think about those times when you were faced with a difficult dilemma or a serious decision to make. How easy was it for you to come to a resolution or conclusion without consulting and or confiding in a close friend or family member? It is when contemplating these life-changing decisions, that engaging with a personal life coach is most beneficial.
